About the role

Make an impact on the future of healthcare education! We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the Associate Dean of Allied Health Programs and play a key role in advancing student success.

Responsibilities

  • Serves Students.
    • Supports the Associate Dean in the implementation of projects, budgeting, managing, and scheduling daily work routines, meetings, priorities, and appointments.
    • Opens, sorts, and distributes daily mail.
    • Maintains routine and confidential files.
    • Oversees the department as the Administrative Assistant.
    • Supervises the work of others, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
    • Liaison to all areas of the college acts on behalf of the department by exercising judgment and discretion in all confidential matters of significance.
    • May perform duties related to confidential student conduct concerns; assist the Associate Dean with student conduct.
  • Supports Strategic Planning Initiatives.
    • Participate in and support strategic planning initiatives.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree with 4 years of increasingly responsible clerical experience, OR
    • High school diploma or equivalent with 6 years of increasingly responsible clerical experience, OR
      • High school diploma or equivalent with 4 years of experience in performing duties related to those outlined within the essential function of the role and 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Professional use of Microsoft Office, including experience related to organizing work and tasks; email, calendaring, and project work.

Pay

$21.81– $23.11 per hour, depending on experience.

Grant Funded (Prop 301)- contingent upon continued funding
