About the Role
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team during the Fall tax season at our San Antonio office. This temporary, part-time position supports tax professionals with administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations during the busy season from August 24, 2026, through October 16, 2026. The role requires working onsite for 30 hours per week, primarily supporting tasks related to tax return preparation, document management, and general office support. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a high level of professionalism, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble completed tax returns in Adobe format for electronic delivery
- Maintain a working knowledge of relevant systems and applications, including Word, Adobe, Excel, and Outlook
- Effectively file resources and documentation according to firm standards for electronic retention
- Interact with internal clients in a courteous, efficient, and professional manner
- Perform general office duties such as copying, scanning, shredding, mail distribution, and metering outgoing mail
- Restock office supplies and assist with technology check-outs
- Support reception duties, including managing a multi-line phone system
- Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure smooth office operations during the peak season
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in an administrative or professional office environment
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge of GoFileRoom or similar document management systems is a plus
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and adaptability
- Ability to effectively gather, organize, and disseminate information
