About The Role
The Legal Administrative Assistant at Allstate plays a pivotal role in supporting the legal team, specifically within Client Legal Services. This position involves providing comprehensive administrative and operational support to attorneys engaged in insurance defense litigation. The assistant will manage and maintain case-related data, coordinate litigation schedules, and facilitate case workflows to ensure smooth legal processes. The role requires a detail-oriented individual capable of handling sensitive information with discretion, managing multiple priorities efficiently, and communicating professionally with internal teams and external contacts. The position offers an excellent opportunity to develop a deep understanding of civil litigation, legal procedures, and case management systems, all within a collaborative and dynamic environment based in or near Dallas, TX.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of administrative experience in a legal, insurance, or professional services environment, preferably supporting insurance defense litigation
- Working knowledge of legal terminology, civil litigation processes, and case management systems
- Familiarity with Texas courts and local legal procedures
- Experience supporting litigation activities, including scheduling and case coordination
- Knowledge of court procedures and approval processes in Texas is a strong plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong adaptability and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain compliance within the Litigation Management System (Team Connect)
- Enter, update, and manage case data, including pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence related to trial, arbitration, and mediation
- Manage calendars and coordinate scheduling for hearings, depositions, mediations, and other litigation events
- Prepare, track, and maintain case files and documentation in accordance with established procedures
- Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and external contacts to facilitate case progression
- Make basic case support decisions within defined guidelines under attorney supervision
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity and discretion
- Perform tasks accurately, efficiently, and within designated timelines
- Support case workflows and adapt to changing priorities in a litigation environment
