Administrative Assistant- Paragon Infusion Centers
About the role
The Administrative Assistant - Paragon Infusion Centers oversees patient check-in, registration, and checkout processes. Key responsibilities include verifying charts, updating demographics/eligibility, utilizing current forms, performing clerical tasks, organizing files, entering and retrieving data, managing document handling, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and HITRUST standards, using proprietary software systems, and driving to administrative locations as needed.
Responsibilities
- Oversees staff and processes for check-in, verifying charts are pulled for scheduled appointments, demographics/eligibility is updated, and current forms are being utilized.
- Performs a variety of clerical tasks such as data entry, record maintenance, document processing, and handling customer or internal communications, including phone calls.
- Organizes and maintains files, enters and retrieves data, and manages document handling task as needed.
- Ensures compliance with HIPAA and HITRUST information security standards to protect client data.
- Utilizes proprietary software systems to access information and may track and validate process exceptions, load reports and invoices, and monitor batch jobs.
- May drive to the post office or other administrative locations based on business needs.
Requirements
- Requires a HS diploma or equivalent.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
- 1+ Years of medical front office experience preferred.
- Prior authorization experience preferred.
- Inbound call experience preferred.
- Customer service experience in a medical or professional setting preferred.
