Job Summary And Purpose
The Administrative Assistant will perform general clerical duties, to support department operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily office operations, coordinating schedules, handling communications, maintaining records and ensuring the efficient functioning of the workplace. The Administrative Assistant will also demonstrate a strong attention to detail and have the ability to work well with colleagues and the public.
Work Objectives/Essential Functions
- Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and other correspondence.
- Check and distribute mail for the special education department.
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and conference calls.
- Maintain calendars and coordinate travel arrangements as needed.
- Prepare, edit, and distribute reports, presentations, requisitions, and other documents.
- Organize and maintain filing systems, records, and databases.
- Assist with data entry, writing requisitions, process mileage forms.
- Order and manage office supplies.
- Welcome visitors and provide general customer service support.
- Cooky visitors and provide general customer service support.

- Support three assistant directors and staff with administrative projects and special assignments.
- Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information and company records.
Education And Experience
- Education Attainment (Required): High School diploma or its equivalent is required.
- Education Attainment (Preferred): Associates or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Relevant Experience (Required): Previous Administrative, Support Or Clerical Experience Is Required.
Additional Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Knowledge: Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, G-Mail, Slides).
- Knowledge of recordkeeping and document management practices.
- Experience with scheduling and managing calendars.
- Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- Abilities: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
