About the role
Responsible for the accuracy and efficiency of the day-to-day operations of the Obstetrics Department at OMC by providing administrative support, and serving as the focal point for resolving a wide range of matters arising both within and outside the Obstetrics Department. The OB administrative assistant maintains and updates the department staffing schedule, including auditing timecard corrections. Additional responsibilities include:
- Creation of the onboarding schedule for new staff
- Scheduling classes for staff
- Ordering OB office supplies
- Scheduling meetings
- Working with director/supervisor on staff vacations
- Other clerical duties as needed
Responsible for maintaining a calm, orderly and productive working environment.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related field OR 3 years equivalent, associated work experience
- Experience in using word processing software, database software, and in public relations
- Strong customer service and computer skills
- OB experience desirable
- Health Unit Secretary (HUC) certification preferred
Pay
Pay range: $22.80 - $32.82 per hour
Full-time (100% FTE), day shift. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required; no on-call shifts.
