About the role
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for the clerical, registration, and scheduling functions for the department of Radiology and will perform oversight to ensure efficient and accurate operations within the department’s clerical needs. This role maintains oversight of scheduling data entries and addresses any issues that may arise.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients, families, visitors, and physicians while providing exceptional customer service
- Ensure a high degree of customer service including scheduling time, appointment wait time, and registration
- Prepare, organize, and maintain reports and unit documentation
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote efficient workflows and positive patient experiences
- Maintain clerical operations within all modalities of the department
- Coordinate and develop schedules to ensure adequate staffing coverage
- Participate in process improvement and initiatives
- Support the daily operations of the department by maintaining supplies and ensuring an organized work environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with medical records, preferably in psychiatric outpatient clinic settings
- Strong communication, organizational, multitasking, and computer skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment
- Must be able to work from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday
- Bilingual preferred
