About the role
The Administrative Assistant - Lead provides essential administrative and client service support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the funeral home. This role combines office coordination with compassionate interaction with families, supporting funeral directors and staff in delivering accurate, timely, and respectful services. This position requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and a compassionate presence when communicating with individuals experiencing loss.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating logistics
- Handle incoming calls and emails, providing prompt and courteous responses
- Prepare and maintain files for funerals, memorials, and other services
- Coordinate with funeral directors and staff to ensure accurate and timely service delivery
- Support the team in maintaining a professional and respectful environment
- Assist with special events and administrative tasks as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- At least 2 years of administrative experience in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications

- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience working in a funeral home or similar setting is preferred
