Administrative Assistant - KC Longview
As part of the KC-Longview front office team, the Administrative Assistant will provide exceptional customer service and Radical Hospitality to students, visitors, and colleagues. The Administrative Assistant works directly with students and is often the primary registration and financial contact with them.
Responsibilities
- Work the front office window and assist switchboard operator
- Assist students, visitors and staff
- Receipt payments, register students, and provide information
- Open safe, count cash drawer and safe, and keep accurate balance records
- Submit purchase requisitions and work orders for the KC-Longview Site
- Open and process mail
- Assist Office Manager with resolving student account issues
- Assist with student account related tasks including refunds, drop processes, and holds
- Provide Continuing Education registration support to instructional divisions
- Other duties as assigned, including occasionally working additional hours during registration periods
- Serve as a member of the Crisis Management Team
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration; significant related experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- A minimum experience of three years in a similar position working with money or customer service
- Working knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; ten-key by touch preferred
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to keep accurate records, including an accounting of cash drawer/safe, while working in high-paced environment with frequent interruptions
- Must be self-motivated and detail oriented
- Must be organized, expedient, tactful, even-tempered, and able to maintain student confidentiality
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office and classroom environment. No or very limited physical effort required; however, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. No or very limited exposure to physical risk.

Pay
Compensation for this 12-month position is $31,378.
