About the role

Reporting to the Dean or Associate Dean, the central focus of the Administrative Assistant II is serving as a receptionist and providing administrative support. This position specifically supports the Dean's Office and the Office of Field and Clinical Experiences to ensure they function efficiently and effectively. This position works in an exciting, fast-paced, and challenging environment that involves multitasking and managing a variety of projects and requests.

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support and assistance to the Dean, Associate Dean, and Director of the Office of Field and Clinical Experiences and Educational Partnerships, including making appointments, scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars and email
  • Places, answers, screens, and directs telephone calls, providing information or referral as required
  • Affords assistance to the public by providing general information by telephone, mail, or in person
  • Takes comprehensive meeting minutes
  • Manages daily operations of the School of Education including maintenance of office supplies
  • Develops and prepares materials for meetings and other events for the School of Education
  • Presents correspondence, presentations, charts and coordinates various activities or events for the Dean, Associate Dean, and Director of the Office of Field and Clinical Experiences and Educational Partnerships. This includes handling of confidential information
  • Maintains office files
  • Affords assistance as needed with the planning and execution of events including coordinating use of facilities and space on campus and collaborating with campus partners
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 2 Year/Associate Degree
  • One or more years of related experience supporting multiple people or departments

Qualifications

  • Preferred Qualifications: 4 Year/ Bachelor Degree
  • Experience working in a college or university setting

Skills

  • Knowledge of various PC applications
  • Knowledge and application of customer service skills (adaptability, positive attitude, and dependability)
  • Knowledge and application of communication skills (listening actively, communicating clearly, solving problems)
  • Ability to learn various applications, college computing systems, and software

Benefits

The proposed salary range for this position is $34,800 - $41,700; Salary offer will be dependent on candidate's experience and qualifications, internal equity considerations, budget availability, and salary administration guidelines.
