Administrative Assistant II
Job Summary
The qualified candidate will have previous experience with, and be responsible for, patient check-in and out as well as patient scheduling and other tasks as noted below. This intermediate-level Administrative Assistant role supports the day-to-day operations of a busy breast imaging center.
Responsibilities
- Carefully coordinate care, ensuring accurate scheduling
- Safeguard efficient workflow across the department
- Regularly collaborate with patients and a multidisciplinary clinical team, including technologists, nurse navigators, radiologists, and referring providers
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidential health information while maintaining regulatory compliance and operational readiness
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma Related Field of Study preferred
- Administrative Assistant or Secretarial Experience 2-3 years required
- Proficiency with office procedures and equipment i.e. filing, copying, scanning, printing and faxing
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to proofread radiology reports and patient result letters
- Ability to use phone system
- Managing one's own time and the time of others
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral skills
- Ability to use standard office equipment
- Familiarity with medical terminology
