Administrative Assistant I
About the role
The Mind Research Network, a division of Lovelace Biomendicl Research Institute, seeks a Full Time Administrative Assistant I. This position offers a range of administrative and staff support duties requiring skills and knowledge of organizational policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Affords assistance and direction to visitors, answers phones, and resolves administrative problems and inquiries.
- Composes, edits, and proofreads correspondence and reports.
- Tracks training compliance, maintains office supplies and databases, sorts and manages mail and packages, and prepares a range of administrative documents.
- Collaborates and facilitates schedules, meetings, program functions, and/or special events.
- Assists with fiscal duties including handling of petty cash, payment and tracking of invoices, and tracking and recording budget items.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent and 1+ year of directly-related administrative support experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been attained.
- A professional demeanor, strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills, excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Professional-level computer proficiency and the ability to learn all department-specific systems and programs as needed.
- Reliable and capable of working with sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality of data at all times.
- Prior experience in a busy office environment, specifically in a higher education setting, and previous experience working with a diverse population preferred.

Work is performed in an office environment. Will operate standard office equipment and will frequently stand, walk, sit, perform desk-based computer tasks, use a telephone, perform repetitive motions and occasionally lift objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
