Administrative Assistant - Housing and Residence Life
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Prescott, Arizona campus is hiring an experienced Administrative Assistant to support the Housing and Residence Life Team. Embry-Riddle's Prescott Campus is respected worldwide for cutting-edge instruction and training for tomorrow’s aviation, aerospace, security, and intelligence leaders. Prescott is a mile-high city with seasonable weather ideal for flying, averaging 80°F in summer and 45°F in winter. Located 5,000 ft. above sea level, it offers a mild climate, clean air, pristine wilderness, and proximity to national forests. The university is a small, private, residential campus with approximately 3,500 students, fostering high staff/faculty/student interaction. It is situated 100 miles north of Phoenix and 120 miles south of the Grand Canyon.
About the role
Assist with the overall operations of the Department of Housing and Residence Life. Provide quality customer service to students, parents, and colleagues through the main office front desk. Handle mass departmental communications, issue and inventory keys and access cards, and submit, track, and follow up on work orders and purchase requisitions. Manage various p-card purchases and maintain departmental calendars and emails using Outlook. Regularly update HRL external and internal websites.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality customer service at the HRL front desk.
- Greet constituents in a timely, professional, and friendly manner.
- Accurately answer questions and seek understanding rather than agreement.
- Utilize Outlook to maintain departmental and professional staff calendars.
- Respond to and maintain records of departmental emails.
- Submit updates for HRL external and internal websites.

Pay
The hourly rate for this role is $16.00–17.00. The final offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience, as well as applicable state regulations, internal equity, and business needs.
