Description
AppleGate Recovery is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to support the Treatment Center Director with a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.
- Manage administrative tasks: greeting patients, collecting money, making appointments, conducting follow-up calls, and reconciling money daily.
- Perform clerical duties: answering phones, forwarding calls, taking messages, reporting for internal or external purposes, and filing documents.
- Collaborate with clinic staff: covering the front desk, scheduling and assisting with intakes, keeping patient medical records updated in the computer system, updating/revising forms, and verifying insurance eligibility.
- Support corporate activities: assisting with HR functions and paperwork, implementing marketing plans, and orienting new staff members.
- Align with organizational and departmental philosophies, goals, and objectives, demonstrating through behavior and motivating others to do the same.
- Interact positively and motivate staff, supporting the company's mission.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of prior office experience.
- Excellent customer service and professional public presentation skills, including telephone etiquette.
- Proficiency in basic PC skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to maintain business and clinical files systematically and orderly.
- Strong interpersonal skills promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and effective communication.
- Self-directed with the ability to work independently without constant supervision.
- Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions, establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, program management, medical staff, counselors, and peers.
- Ability to maintain routine records and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work with a diverse population and exhibit excellent customer service skills.
- Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check required.
