Job Summary
This position is responsible for providing administrative and logistical support for the Metering Services organization and the AMI/MDM team. The role supports approximately 250 employees across the state by coordinating timekeeping, expenses, invoices, meeting logistics, records, access-related support, and other administrative activities while working closely with managers, supervisors, administrative partners, employees, and training staff in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

The position is located at Metering Services, 62 Lake Mirror Road, Forest Park, Georgia.
Major Job Responsibilities
- Provides administrative support to Metering Services and AMI/MDM leadership, including calendar management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, correspondence, presentations, reports, and other business communications.
- Captures meeting and event logistics, including scheduling, agendas, presentations, Teams meetings, conference rooms, meals, supplies, meeting minutes, and action item tracking.
- Supports administrative transactions for multiple employees, including timekeeping, expense statements, invoices, purchase requisitions, and related accounting activities in accordance with corporate policies.
- Maintains records, shared resources, SharePoint access, distribution lists, and files containing confidential or sensitive information in accordance with company requirements.
- Supports the on-site Metering training team and special projects by coordinating logistics, communications, materials, and other administrative needs.
- Builds effective working relationships with peers, managers, supervisors, employees, vendors, and business partners across Georgia Power and Southern Company.
Education and Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent is strongly preferred; a college degree or administrative certification is a plus.
- Administrative, clerical, customer service, or executive support experience in a fast-paced corporate environment is preferred.
- Experience supporting multiple managers, supervisors, employees, or a large department with diverse administrative needs is highly desired.
- Experience with covered, exempt, and non-exempt timekeeping, expense reporting, invoicing, travel coordination, meeting scheduling, data entry, reporting, and confidential records management is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong organizational, planning, prioritization, customer service, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, requests, and interruptions in a fast-paced environment while producing accurate, timely work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate professionally with executives, managers, employees, vendors, business partners, and other administrative professionals.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Working knowledge of Southern Company systems such as Oracle, PaySource, SCOTT, Maximo, and budget-related processes is preferred.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, learn processes quickly, and proactively identify solutions to business needs.
Testing and Other Requirements
- Must have already passed the Clerical Aptitude test or successfully qualify on the EEI SASS Clerical Aptitude Test if invited.
- Candidate must be available to take the test in person at the Southern Company Headquarters Testing Center in Atlanta if required.

- Successful candidate must be available to support storm restoration or other abnormal business conditions outside of the normal work schedule as required.
- Candidate must live near or be willing to relocate within a commutable distance of Forest Park, GA.
