Position Summary
We are seeking an Administrative Assistant Contractor to provide administrative and operational support to the Deloitte project team. This role will assist with day-to-day office and Patient Accounting support activities, ensuring efficient coordination of mail, records, correspondence, reporting, and workflow management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide business office and administrative support across Patient Accounting functions
- Manage daily mail processing and correspondence for collections teams
- Retrieve and submit medical records to payers and insurance entities
- Maintain assigned worklists and update patient accounts across systems such as PBAR, Aeos, Cerner, and claims editor
- Cook up and validate patient refund approvals, including documentation review and processing
- Support research billing activities, including invoicing non-industry trial claims, creating accounts for billable insurance charges, and tracking denials returned from CTUP
- Perform administrative and vendor coordination tasks, including submission of documentation via upload, email, fax, or mail to payers
- Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, and presentations as needed
- Manage schedules, appointments, and meetings to support office operations
- Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including email and phone calls
- Maintain accurate electronic and physical filing systems
- Aid in coordination of office activities and events
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in healthcare and revenue cycle operations
- Strong administrative, coordination, and organizational skills
- Experience handling patient records, payer communications, and billing-related documentation
- Familiarity with healthcare systems and claims-related workflows preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and common office systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Patient Accounting, collections, or research billing functions
- Familiarity with medical records processing, refund workflows, and denial tracking
- Experience working with PBAR, Aeos, Cerner, or claims editor systems
