Administrative Assistant - Business Litigation - Augusta (part-time)

Responsibilities

  • Time entry/recording attorney time
  • Preparing bills for attorney review
  • File opening (physical and electronic)
  • Creating and updating legal documents
  • Picking up, processing and distributing mail from Post Office
  • Ordering office supplies
  • Serve as office runner as needed
  • Provide support to Paralegals and Attorneys as requested
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Three or more years' experience working in a law firm
  • Thorough understanding of the litigation process
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Knowledge of court and administrative hearing rules and procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and other legal software applications
  • Professional demeanor, excellent communication and computer skills
  • Must be flexible with the ability to handle a large caseload in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Team member who participates in shared office duties and requirements
  • Stable employment history

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work part-time, 25 hours per week, on a flexible schedule
  • Must be able to work Monday through Friday, 10:00am - 3:00pm

Skills
