About the role

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Dental Administrative Assistant to play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our busy specialty practice. As a vital part of our team, you will assist the Practice Manager in managing administrative tasks, coordinating patient care, and ensuring smooth office operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Practice Manager in overseeing daily office operations and maintaining a smooth workflow.
  • Coordinate patient scheduling, appointment confirmations, and follow-up communications.
  • Manage patient billing, insurance verifications, and claims processing, ensuring financial arrangements and collections are handled timely.
  • Address and resolve escalated patient concerns to ensure a positive patient experience.
  • Support the training and onboarding of administrative staff and provide leadership in the Practice Manager’s absence.
  • Monitor office performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, and ensure adherence to office protocols.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure patient records are accurate and well-maintained.
  • Manage office supplies and vendor relationships as needed.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in an administrative role.
  • Proficiency in dental practice management software and patient management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • Knowledge of dental insurance verification, billing, and financial processes.
  • Strong leadership abilities, including training and mentoring administrative staff.
  • A solid understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality protocols.
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment.
  • Ability to assist patients safely in and out of chairs or treatment areas.
  • Ability to maintain clinical positioning for extended periods.
  • Ability to work around medical equipment and instruments.
  • Adherence to OSHA and infection control standards.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements.
  • Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.

Pay

Position Base Pay Range: $18 USD - $25 USD
