About the role
The Administrative Assistant I is responsible for providing phone and general administrative support, including filing and documentation, for a local office. Duties will include a variety of administrative tasks, requiring excellent organization, time management and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist project manager(s) with a variety of administrative tasks as assigned.
- Receive all incoming calls in a professional manner, directing calls and messages as needed.
- Assist with coordination of meetings and communications.
- Create and maintain accurate, up-to-date files (paper and electronic).
- May be required to attend project meetings and prepare clear, accurate meeting minutes.
- Effectively communicate verbally and via email with project manager, engineers, employees, clients, etc.
- Maintain field office equipment, supplies, and janitorial services as needed.
- Act as liaison between field office, Headquarters, and other satellite offices.
- Adhere to job-specific requirements of RockSol's quality standards and Quality Management System (QMS).
- Perform other general administrative technical duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–2 years of administrative work experience.
- Intermediate to advanced computer literacy with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Office 365, OneNote).
- Positive, effective oral and written communication skills with strong customer service orientation.
- High attention to detail, ability to produce accurate, well-formatted documents.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Self-starter with a “can-do” attitude.
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and assist with a variety of tasks, small or large.
- Must maintain confidentiality and exercise professional discretion and integrity.
- Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record.
- Flexibility and willingness to perform a variety of tasks to support the field office.
- Ability to multitask while under time pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to learn/use various software programs (preferred).
Work Environment
- Field or satellite office environment, frequent use of phones, sitting and typing at a computer workstation for extended periods.
- Moderate noise level.
- Occasionally move/lift up to 25 pounds.

Pay
$25 – $35 per hour (depending on experience)
