This position also supports the department's day-to-day administrative functions and requires close collaboration with staff to ensure all requested information is accurately and thoroughly obtained. Responsibilities: Preparing correspondence, reports, forms, and other written materials from oral and written instructionsAnswering inquiries, providing information to callers, or referring them to the appropriate person or agencyPreparing materials and processing court documentsPerforming routine accounting duties such as preparing bills for payment, compiling department payroll and timesheets, and preparing depositsManaging document-related tasks such as faxing, photocopying, sorting, filing, and maintaining organized office filesResponding to public records requests, complaints, and inquiries from citizens in person or referring them as appropriateReceiving payments for the department and performing other customer service-related dutiesConducting research and compiling data for departmental reports Qualifications: Associate’s degree in business or a related fieldMinimum of two years of experience in a detail-oriented administrative environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including ExcelWorking knowledge of municipal or town departmental operations is highly desirablePrior experience using the MUNIS system is strongly preferredAbility to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgmentStrong organizational skills with the ability to work both independently and collaborativelyAbility to pass an in-depth criminal background check Benefits/Position Logistics Full-time (37.5-hours/week) union positionOccasional evening meetings may be requiredPay range is from $27.0571-$32.5264 per hour, with step increases outlined in the union agreementFull health benefits, paid time off, paid holidays, and more.
