Position Summary
The administrative assistant provides executive support for the deans of the College of Business and Economics and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences; supports the colleges' daily operations; serves as the colleges' primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders; and provides administrative support to the academic programs within the colleges.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Provides administrative support for the college deans, including responsibility for calendars, travel arrangements, project activities, information retrieval, reporting and complex administrative matters.
- Manages overall office administration for the colleges.
- Plans, coordinates and executes logistics for the colleges' events and projects.
- Serves as the primary liaison between the colleges and other university departments and external stakeholders.
- Promotes a professional and inclusive work environment.
- Oversees Mauney Hall facility operations.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the college deans.

Education And Experience
- High School diploma; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
- A minimum of three years’ experience directly related to the skills, duties and responsibilities listed is preferred.
- Experience in a higher education setting is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Position Schedule
- Standard office hours: M-F, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
- Some flexibility possible.
- Subject to change based on university need, scheduled courses, and university growth.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
- Up to 20% (8 hours) of work hours may be performed remotely during certain weeks and throughout the summer, based on operational needs and at the discretion of the deans.
