PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
This role is a rare opportunity to join the railway industry and directly support the leaders of CPKC’s Operations department.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Type investigation notices and maintain all files
- Supports Assistant to Manager Support Services and local Operations leadership team
- Type and post all Operational notices
- Order supplies for departments and maintain expense efficiency on behalf of CPKC
- Adequately inventory throughout facility to expedite daily operations
- Maintain daily internal and external correspondence through various business information reports, schedule, and transcribe formal hearings
- Follow strict time schedules for paying and reallocating invoices
- Enter discipline records into the safety dashboard
- Plan and prepare for any meetings
- Auxiliary with any needs/requirements from Facilities
- Post bulletins and awards, Seniority Rosters in accordance with collective bargaining agreement
- Maintain the utmost discretion, confidentiality, safety and courtesy
- All other duties as assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- High School graduate
- Valid drivers' license required
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Computer systems (notes, SAP, Excel, Word, Power Point, Share Point, Outlook) required
- Ability to type at least 45 WPM
- Ability to occasionally support events and activities outside of standard working hours
