About the Role

This position is the de facto face and heart of the school. It is often the first interaction one has with Archbishop John Carroll High School, whether by telephone or in person. The role requires the ability to interact effectively and appropriately with administrators, archdiocesan partners, parents, students, the public, and vendors in a professional, proficient manner. As priorities and challenges differ each day, the ideal candidate must be self-motivated, possess strong time management skills, and work independently with minimal supervision.

Main Office Reception Responsibilities

  • Answers the main telephone console and directs calls accordingly; maintains voicemail structure
  • Interacts daily with faculty, staff, parents, and students to address needs
  • Reports to the Principal and provides administrative assistance to the Principal and one Assistant Principal

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong writing, oral, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (preferred)
  • Knowledge of PowerSchool is a plus
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
  • Must be responsible, dependable, and adhere to strict confidentiality policies
  • Customer service oriented
  • PA required clearances, Safe Environment Certification, and official transcripts will be required before employment can begin

Schedule

This is an hourly, 12-month position.
