Bayside Health was formed following the merger of Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health, Gippsland Southern Health Service, Kooweerup Regional Health Service and Peninsula Health on 1 January 2026.
About the role
This part-time fixed-term (64 hours per fortnight) position is located in the Respiratory Medicine department at The Alfred, supporting the busy Lung Function Laboratory.
Responsibilities
- Front reception work, including answering phones
- Checking patients in
- Creating initial appointments from the “Request List”
- Completing MBS billing
- Other administrative duties as required
Requirements
- Strong organisational and customer service skills
- Demonstrated computer efficiency
- Ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment
- Excellence in written and oral communication skills
- High level of attention to detail
Experience working within a medical environment and familiarity with medical terminology will be highly regarded, though applicants with strong administrative skills from other fields will also be considered.

Schedule
