Work schedule during non-peak months (Feb–Aug) is Sun–Thurs, 12:00 AM–8:30 AM. During peak months (Sep–Jan) it is Thurs–Mon, 12:00 AM–8:30 AM.

About the role

The Administrative Assistant I provides a variety of administrative support to department staff, including handling routine and advanced tasks to facilitate department operations and management.

Responsibilities

  • Answers phone, takes messages, answers routine inquiries, schedules appointments, meetings, and maintains manager’s calendar.
  • Resolves routine issues in absence of manager.
  • Coordinates special projects and analysis for manager.
  • Maintains budget and/or expense reports; makes recommendations on and prepares budget and manager expense reports.
  • Develops reports and presentations.
  • Compiles, researches, and tabulates data; may perform some analysis.
  • Acts as interface with internal or external customers.
  • Sorts, opens, and distributes mail.
  • Makes travel arrangements.
  • Types, designs correspondence, memos, tables, or graphs.
  • Maintains files for the department.
  • May periodically assist in training and checking the work of lower-level employees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (required).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (preferred).
  • Three to five years or more in advanced administrative positions (required).
  • Strong knowledge or specialized training and a comprehensive understanding of general aspects of the functional area; ability to apply knowledge and skills to varied situations (advanced level required).
  • Advanced PC skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel).
  • Prior knowledge of company procedures and policies (advanced level required).

Pay

Hourly pay range: $23.00 – $25.00.
