About the role
The Administrative Assistant I provides administrative support to department staff in a fast-paced logistics environment. This role requires experience working extended hours, weekends, and peak-season schedules to meet customer expectations and maintain service excellence.

Responsibilities
- Answers phone, takes messages, answers routine inquiries, schedules appointments, meetings, and manages calendars
- Resolves routine issues in the absence of the manager
- Coordinates special projects and analysis for the manager
- Maintains budget and/or expense reports; makes recommendations and prepares budget and expense reports
- Develops reports and presentations
- Compiles, researches, and tabulates data; performs analysis as needed
- Acts as interface with internal or external customers
- Sorts, opens, and distributes mail
- Makes travel arrangements
- Types, designs correspondence, memos, tables, or graphs
- Maintains department files
- May periodically assist in training and checking the work of lower-level employees
- Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Preferred)
- Three (3) to five (5) years or more in advanced administrative positions (Required)
- Requires strong knowledge or specialized training and a comprehensive understanding of general aspects of the functional area; ability to apply knowledge and skills to varied situations

Pay
Hourly pay range: $22.00 – $22.94. The compensation offered may be influenced by relevant experience, education, work location, market data, internal equity, and other factors. This position may also be eligible for an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type.
