Responsibilities
- Provide administrative assistance to the associate warden for operations and the major.
- Provide administrative support for area supervisors and other line employees.
- Prepare and distribute security and non-security reports.
- Prepare and reply to routine correspondences and reports as required.
- Ensure adequate stock levels of office supplies and forms are maintained.
- Create, provide documentation, and maintain accreditation standards.
- Assist the associate warden for operations and programs with reviewing institutional inmate grievances for accuracy.
- Make CRT entries of disciplinary changes and minor reports.
- Assist in inquiring and preparing information for monthly disciplinary infraction and conviction reports.
- Assist in planning, coordinating, directing, and supervising various special projects/programs and activities as directed by the associate warden.
- Successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Work experience directly related to the area of employment (a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience).
Preferred Qualifications
- One year or more of administrative experience in a correctional setting.
