Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative assistance to the associate warden for operations and the major.
  • Provide administrative support for area supervisors and other line employees.
  • Prepare and distribute security and non-security reports.
  • Prepare and reply to routine correspondences and reports as required.
  • Ensure adequate stock levels of office supplies and forms are maintained.
  • Create, provide documentation, and maintain accreditation standards.
  • Assist the associate warden for operations and programs with reviewing institutional inmate grievances for accuracy.
  • Make CRT entries of disciplinary changes and minor reports.
  • Assist in inquiring and preparing information for monthly disciplinary infraction and conviction reports.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, directing, and supervising various special projects/programs and activities as directed by the associate warden.
  • Successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • Work experience directly related to the area of employment (a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience).

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year or more of administrative experience in a correctional setting.
