About the role
May teach classes in the Veterinary Technology curriculum as directed by the Department Head. To develop in each student the skills of critical thinking and to help students learn the subject matter presented to them in order for that student to become a positive member of the community.
Responsibilities
- Create lesson plans, content, presentations, ancillary materials, and assignments to effectively transform information to knowledge for students.
- Absess student learning and progress.
- Communicate verbally and in writing with clear, grammatically correct English.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel), e-mail, and internet, and learning management systems.
- Show passion for assisting customers and representing the OSU-OKC and OSU brand with positivity and professionalism.
- Show a demonstrated history of ethical and professional behavior.
Requirements
- Registered Veterinary Technician or equivalent certification, license, or registration.
- Teaching competence.
- Communication skills.
- Computer skills.
Qualifications
- Experience teaching at the college level.
- Experience with public speaking (CE presentations, new employee training, etc.).

Pay
$750.00 - $800.00 per credit hour
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with occasional evenings and weekends.
