About the Job

The Department of Family Social Science is hiring an Adjunct Teaching Specialist or Adjunct Lecturer position. This is a temporary, non-tenured, Academic Professional and Administrative (P & A) position as a Teaching Specialist or Lecturer, paid on a per course basis. Applications are reviewed as openings occur, and individual applicants are invited to interview when their skills or areas of expertise match an opening. This posting is designed to establish a pool of instructors.

Job Responsibilities

• Teaching (90%)

• Attend class meetings and deliver course content.
• Evaluate student performance and submit grading.
• Respond to student inquiries and meet with students.

• Course Preparation (10%)

• Complete orientation and training.
• Met with appropriate faculty and gather information as needed.
• Develop course content and syllabus.
• Prepare course materials.

The Department of Family Social Science (FSoS) prepares students to use research to discover and apply knowledge, build interpersonal communication skills, and develop personally and professionally. Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: The salary for this position is $2,500 per credit; pay is determined based on per credit rate structure and depending on education, qualification, experience and specific job duties.

Time Appointment: 25%
