Adjunct Lecturers, Integrated Health Science - Part-time (Continuous Posting)
The College of Integrated Health Sciences (CIHS) at the University at Albany is seeking part-time/adjunct lecturers for undergraduate and master-level courses in all Public Health disciplines, including but not limited to Global Health, Health Policy and Management, Social Behavior and Community Health, Maternal and Child Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Communications, Environmental Health Science, and Public Health Preparedness. Housed in the most diverse, public, Research 1 university in the US, CIHS offers unique and extensive experiential learning and public health practice opportunities in close partnership with the New York State Department of Health. The college conducts timely and impactful research to improve comprehensive wellness and reduce health inequities in New York State, the nation, and globally.
The College has a rapidly growing BS in Public Health program, on-campus and online MPH programs, and masters and doctoral programs in Public Health, Epidemiology, Environmental Health, and Biomedical Sciences. It also offers Graduate Certificate Programs in Public Health, Global Health, Maternal and Child Health, HIV Studies, and Health Disparities. Teaching opportunities exist for both on-campus and fully online courses. Assignments will be based on the candidate's expertise and contributions to existing programs.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and master-level courses in Public Health disciplines
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of academic programs
Requirements
- A doctoral (PhD) degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university; or a relevant Master's degree in a Public Health discipline with significant practice and/or teaching experience in Public Health
- Ability to work with culturally diverse populations
