About the role
To teach or co-teach in the Law School's Academic Achievement Program. Courses include JD 401 Expert Learning, an introductory course for first-year students; and LAW 531 Bar Essay Writing, LAW 532 Writing for the Practice of Law, and LAW 530 Legal Fundamentals Review and Test Taking Skills.
Responsibilities
- To teach or co-teach in the Law School’s Academic Achievement Program. Courses include JD 401 Expert Learning, an introductory course for first-year students; and LAW 531 Bar Essay Writing, LAW 532 Writing for the Practice of Law, and LAW 530 Legal Fundamentals Review and Test Taking Skills.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school or its equivalent from a foreign country.
- Admission to the Illinois bar or that of another state.
- A record of or potential for excellent teaching, and experience with or willingness to learn the Canvas learning management system.
- Candidates must be in good standing with any bar to which they have been admitted.
- Candidates who have been enrolled in and successfully completed that course at UIC Law in or after the Fall 2018 semester, or who have completed an equivalent course at another law school may also be considered.
Qualifications
- The budgeted salary for this position is typically $1,000 per credit hour.
