Job Summary

The School of Business & Technology (SBT) invites applicants for adjunct faculty for its undergraduate programs: Accounting, Applied Economics, Computer Information Systems, Finance, Management, Marketing, Organizational Behavior. Adjunct faculty are hired on a course by course basis in Duluth, St. Paul, St. Cloud and other locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Create a learning and teaching environment for students in accordance with the educational objectives of SB&T.
• Create and use course text, syllabus and other teaching materials that achieve course and program outcomes as outlined by SB&T.
• Attend faculty development and in-service meetings and contribute to SB&T as requested on a semester basis.
• Maintain published course contact hours and demonstrate commitment to SB&T mission, goals and objectives.

Job Qualifications

• Hold a Master’s degree or higher in their field of expertise.
• Have previous adult learner teaching experience and at least three years of business experience.
• Communicate effectively and exercise initiative.
• Demonstrate cross-cultural communication skills, multicultural competency, and experience interacting effectively with diverse constituents.

Pay

• $1,020 per credit for undergraduate courses.
• $1,112 per credit for undergraduate courses after 40 credits are taught within a five-year period.
• $1,352 per credit for graduate courses.
