Adjunct Faculty, Business Technologies
Job Description
Teaches a variety of courses including but not limited to: Microsoft application software (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Publisher); database; internet usage; administrative management; and business applications.
Prepares and delivers learning activities in order to achieve course outcomes
Prepares course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments and handouts
Evaluates and grades students’ class work, laboratory work, assignments, papers, and examinations
Maintains and submits student attendance records, grades and other required documentation by specified deadlines
Be available to students for coaching
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following: Business Technology, Educational Technology/Technical Education, Office Administration, Business, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ industry/business experience in a business technology environment
- Minimum of 2 Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certifications from either of the two most current versions
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Advanced communication (verbal, written and interpersonal) and organizational skills
- Appropriately responds to the needs of the community
Preferred Qualifications
- All 7 Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certifications
- Teaching experience
Special Note
This is a part-time (adjunct) faculty position. Candidates will be interviewed and hired on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year.
