Adjunct Professor - Public Health - Spring 2026

About the role

The University of North Texas at Dallas invites applications for the position of Adjunct Instructor to teach in the Department of Public Health. UNT Dallas, the first four-year public institution of higher education in the city, seeks an individual who will help shape the character of a 21st century, teaching-focused university.

Responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans and deliver instruction for undergraduate Public Health courses, including but not limited to: Introduction to Public Health, Program Planning and Evaluation, Health Promotion, Health Policy, Epidemiology, and Assessment.
• Design and evaluate teaching objectives and student learning outcomes.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in Public Health with outstanding experience in teaching Public Health courses, OR
• A Master's degree in another health professions field with at least 18 graduate hours in Public Health.
• Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in online/hybrid instruction.
• Proven teaching excellence in undergraduate instruction.

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate in Public Health (DrPH, PhD) with significant outstanding teaching experience.
• Successful experience teaching adults in a post-secondary institution.
• Excellent communication skills in multicultural settings.
• Experience teaching and developing online courses in the Canvas Learning Management System (Canvas).
