Job Responsibilities
- Maintains a high level of excellence in teaching by communicating and interacting effectively with students enrolled in courses within the program area.
- Prepares materials needed for course instruction and testing.
- Keeps student records and adheres to course schedules.
- Uses learning management systems to communicate with students, faculty, and staff.
- Participates in the collection of student learning outcomes.
- Assists the HVAC/R Program Director with timely notification of any shortfall in supplies or equipment needed for lab instruction.
- Conducts lectures, discussion, and other teaching activities.
- Relates instruction and material to course objectives.
- Provides students with course syllabi and correlates grade assignment with skill and course competency.
- SUBMIT GRADES, REPORTS, AND RECORDS IN A TIMELY MANNER.
- REMAINS CURRENT IN FIELD.
- MUST HAVE A BROAD KNOWLEDGE OF THE HVAC/R INDUSTRY WITH SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE IN THE AREAS OF HVAC/R.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
- Associate's degree in HVAC/R or a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of related experience.
- MUST HAVE A BROAD KNOWLEDGE OF THE HVAC/R INDUSTRY WITH SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE IN THE AREAS OF HVAC/R.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HVAC/R with a minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
Benefits
The standard adjunct pay rate is $2,632.30 per three-credit-hour course. Final compensation may vary depending on academic credentials and total course credit hours. Any variation is determined upon hire and outlined in the faculty employment agreement.
