Adjunct Pool Medical Assistant Clinical Instructor

About the role

Muskegon Community College seeks qualified candidates for Adjunct Medical Assistant Clinical Instructors. This role functions as a pool for future part-time instructors in one of the college’s departments.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and facilitate student learning
• Commit to student recruitment, retention, and success
• Assess learning and develop curriculum using traditional and non-traditional methods
• Teach day, night, and online courses at main campus and extension centers
• Establish and promote an effective learning environment
• Prepare, submit, and maintain reports related to student learning
• Grade assignments meaningfully to promote student growth
• Return graded assignments and assign final grades in a timely manner
• Provide educational assistance during office hours and by appointment
• Encourage student opinion survey completion and review results for improving student success
• Maintain professional knowledge and expertise, including compliance training

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Three years' experience in healthcare, preferably two years in ambulatory settings
• Currently licensed/certified/registered as RN, RMA, or CMA (AAMA); CMA (AAMA preferred)
• Teaching experience at the college level preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations
• Experience with instructional technology preferred
