Adjunct Lecturer, Sonography

Responsibilities

• Teach various courses and/or labs within the DMS program demonstrating appropriate preparation and engagement.
• Collaborate with the program director in the planning, development, and evaluation of required DMS courses and labs.
• Encourage student learning through discussions, varied learning activities, and applied experiences.

Qualifications

• RDMS and RVT certification required for the course or lab being taught. Examples: Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular, MSK, Pediatrics, Breast or Fetal Echo.
• Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years of full-time clinical experience in sonography. Evidence of prior teaching experience or clinical supervision of interns preferred.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive classroom learning environment in keeping with the University's commitment to inclusive excellence in a diverse educational community.
• Able to collaborate with other faculty.
• Able to utilize technology necessary for teaching including but not limited to: Office 365, Moodle, library and other online resources.

Compensation

• $4,607.11 for 3-credit course or $65/hour Lab Instruction
