Responsibilities
- Provide didactic and/or clinical instruction as assigned by the program director
- Maintain accurate course documentation and scholastic records of students enrolled in classes and submit required reports to the Program Director and to the registrar
- Prepare thoroughly for each instructional hour
- Instruct and guide the class in an efficient and effective manner
- Select learning experiences that facilitate the student attainment of course student learning outcomes
- Maintain a safe and orderly learning environment
- Grade and return student work in a timely manner
- Counsel students regarding their grades and progress in the course
- Organize and maintain laboratory including physical facilities, equipment, and materials in a clean, neat, operating condition, when applicable
- Maintain current certifications/license/credentials to practice in their profession
- Utilize a variety of instructional evaluation methods considering learning styles and teaching/learning theory
- Supervise and evaluate student clinical/lab performance
- Maintain current knowledge of program policies, procedures and student progress
- Maintain confidentiality of student records and grades

Minimum Requirements
- Associate's degree
- Appropriate credential(s) specific to the concentrations offered
- Two years full-time professional experience as a general sonographer (AB, OB/GYN)
- Must be credentialed in Sonography by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
Preferences
- Bachelor's Degree
- Five years of experience as a Sonography technologist
