About the role

The Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering and Mechanics invites qualified applicants to apply for an Adjunct Lecturer position. Our current need is for an Adjunct Lecturer to teach our senior capstone design sequence that includes courses CE 408A, Issues Civil Engr Practice, and CE 408B, CE Senior Capstone Design, in the fall and spring of academic year 2026-27, respectively. This is anticipated to be a 0.0625 - 0.25 FTE position (Full Academic Year).

Responsibilities

  • Teach CE 408A, Issues Civil Engr Practice
  • Teach CE 408B, CE Senior Capstone Design

Requirements

  • PhD in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Experience teaching senior level civil engineering courses
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple courses simultaneously

Pay

Salary range: $4,000 - $10,000 per course, based on qualifications and experience.

Schedule
