About the role
The Veterinary Technology Adjunct Faculty position at UC Blue Ash College is part of a general pool of candidates from which part-time faculty will be selected for the upcoming term (as needed).
Responsibilities
- Teach a variety of courses including lecture, lab, and clinical courses based on candidates’ expertise.
- Use Canvas and any textbook-specific systems.
- Hold regular office hours to meet with students and reply to student communications in a timely manner.
- Participate in at least one professional development workshop per year.
- Be comfortable using technology and attending professional development opportunities for online teaching.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology or a related field of study; -OR- a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
- A license to practice in the State of Ohio by the time of faculty appointment.
- At least one (1) year of teaching experience in a college setting.
Qualifications
Essential functions include teaching assigned undergraduate courses, evaluating student coursework, engaging in other activities ancillary to or in support of responsibilities, and reviewing and responding to all University-related and student communications.
Skills
Proficiency in using technology and willingness to attend professional development opportunities for online teaching.
