About the role
Responsible for providing veterinary care to animals under the supervision of licensed veterinarians. Conduct diagnostic tests, administer medications, and assist in surgeries.
Responsibilities
- Provide routine and emergency care to animals
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Perform diagnostic tests such as blood work and urinalysis
- Assist in surgical procedures under the guidance of a veterinarian
- Document patient care and treatment in medical records
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in veterinary technology or related field
- Current certification from a recognized veterinary technology program
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Qualifications
- Experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital
- Knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills
- Proficient in using veterinary software
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly
