The Department of Teacher Education and Administration seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor Pool and welcomes applications at this time. This posting is for the Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings will be developed on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.

About the Role

This position involves teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the field of teacher education and administration. Assignments may include 5000 and 6000 level courses. Candidates must hold a master's degree in the appropriate field and at least 18 semester hours in the appropriate field for undergraduate courses. A doctoral degree in the appropriate field and at least 18 semester hours in the appropriate field are required to teach graduate level courses.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in teacher education and administration.
  • Develop and deliver course content aligned with departmental and institutional goals.
  • Maintain high standards of academic integrity and student success.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and committees as assigned.
  • Assist in curriculum development and revision as needed.

Requirements

  • A master's degree in the appropriate field and at least 18 semester hours in the appropriate field for undergraduate courses.
  • A doctoral degree in the appropriate field and at least 18 semester hours in the appropriate field for graduate level courses.
  • Higher education teaching experience.
  • Experience with online/hybrid instruction.

Qualifications

  • Experience with HSI/MSIs and/or proficiency in Spanish, Vietnamese, American Sign Language, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and other variations), Arabic, Tagalog, Farsi, French, or Yoruba is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and administrative staff.
  • Knowledge of current educational theories and research methods.

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology tools.
