About the Role

Educational Administration Adjunct Faculty assist with the instructional delivery of courses taken by graduate program majors. Adjunct faculty teach up to 6 hours (two 3-hour courses) per semester. Typical courses focus on Building and District Level Administration.

Responsibilities

  • Instruction in synchronous and asynchronous online formats.
  • Assessment of student learning outcomes.
  • Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree in Educational Leadership or Educational Administration.
  • Five years of experience as a practicing licensed administrator is required for teaching.

Skills

  • Experience and/or familiarity with P-12 Leadership theory or research associated with building/district level leadership.
  • Experience and/or familiarity with basic principles governing P-12 operations.
  • Experience and/or familiarity with laws governing P-12 operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver accurate, concise, and quality communication (verbal and written) in a timely manner.
  • Experience setting clear performance expectations and provision of meaningful feedback.
  • Experience and/or familiarity with technology use, particularly in the P-12 school setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in university teaching.
  • 3 years of experience as a public school district-level administrator.
