About the role

The Annenberg School of Journalism at the University of Southern California seeks a highly qualified adjunct instructor to teach PR 427: Structured Inquiry in Public Relations and Advertising.

Responsibilities

  • Offer an applied understanding of how to formulate and answer questions regarding the strategic planning and evaluation of business communication messages.
  • Lead students through a process that begins with onboarding into the fundamentals of structured inquiry.

Requirements for consideration

  • A B.A., B.S., M.S., or an M.A. degree in a related field.
  • Three years’ experience, with teaching experience being desirable.
  • A strong candidate brings thoughtful awareness of current issues in the industry, including equity and inclusion.

Qualifications

  • A B.A., B.S., M.S., or an M.A. degree in a related field.
  • Previous teaching experience is desirable.
  • Outstanding professional experience may be substituted for academic credentials in some courses.

Additional Information

  • Adjunct appointment for faculty teaching less than full-time at USC who are employed full-time in a primary profession or career elsewhere.
  • Typically teaches only one course per year, but in exceptional cases, may teach one course per semester, if approved by the dean.
