Adjunct Instructor, Astronomy

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, interpret, and execute administrative procedures and practices
• Maintain manuals regarding the College's policies, procedures, rules, and standards
• Analyze class and program needs of the College
• Determine and recommend retention or deletion of courses
• Develop and coordinate program and course schedules, faculty assignments, and test dates
• Maintain calendars to track schedules and adjust as required
• Assist students and support program curriculum, program and course reviews, and articulation activities

Requirements

• Master's degree in Astronomy, Astrophysics, Physics, or a related physical science sub-field
• OR Master's degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Astronomy, Astrophysics, Physics, or a related physical science sub-field

Skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications
• Ability to utilize Canvas Learning Management System and other instructional technologies
• Ability to interact positively with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public
