About the role
Develops, maintains, interprets, and executes administrative procedures and practices. This activity includes developing and maintaining manuals regarding the College's policies, procedures, rules, and standards. Analyzes class and program needs of the College. Determines and recommends the retention or deletion of courses. Develops and coordinates program and course schedules, faculty assignments, and test dates. Maintains calendar as necessary to track these schedules and adjusts as required. Assists students and program curriculum, program and course reviews, and articulation activities.
Education and Experience
- Master's degree in Astronomy, Astrophysics, Physics, or related physical science sub-field
- OR Master's degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Astronomy, Astrophysics, Physics, or related physical science sub-field
Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications
- Ability to utilize Canvas Learning Management System and other instructional technologies
- Ability to interact positively with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public

- Use of video display terminal
