About the role
The Adjunct Professor will teach introductory-level global history surveys covering the period from 1500 to the present and/or a 300-level seminar in their area of expertise.
Responsibilities
- Teach introductory-level global history survey courses covering the period from 1500 to the present.
- Teach upper-level (300-level) seminar in the candidate’s area of expertise.
- Stay current with historical research to ensure course content reflects the most recent academic findings.
- Courses will meet in person at the Chester, PA campus.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in History.
- Experience teaching global history at the undergraduate level.
- Strong oral and written communication and effective classroom management skills.
Qualifications
- Flexible in class scheduling.
- Enjoy a great deal of autonomy in designing syllabi and implementing preferred pedagogical methods.

Pay

Schedule
- Part-time adjunct faculty may instruct 1 to 3 courses each semester on an "as needed" basis.
- Courses are offered during the day.
- Adjuncts are expected to be available to meet with students outside of regularly scheduled class time and provide support and guidance.
