About the role

The Adjunct Professor will teach introductory-level global history surveys covering the period from 1500 to the present and/or a 300-level seminar in their area of expertise.

Responsibilities

• Teach introductory-level global history survey courses covering the period from 1500 to the present.
• Teach upper-level (300-level) seminar in the candidate’s area of expertise.
• Stay current with historical research to ensure course content reflects the most recent academic findings.
• Courses will meet in person at the Chester, PA campus.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in History.
• Experience teaching global history at the undergraduate level.
• Strong oral and written communication and effective classroom management skills.

Qualifications

• Flexible in class scheduling.
• Enjoy a great deal of autonomy in designing syllabi and implementing preferred pedagogical methods.

Pay

Schedule

• Part-time adjunct faculty may instruct 1 to 3 courses each semester on an "as needed" basis.
• Courses are offered during the day.
• Adjuncts are expected to be available to meet with students outside of regularly scheduled class time and provide support and guidance.
