Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary: HEALTH INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ADJUNCT: The purpose of this position is to teach assigned courses in a variety of times and locations in response to institutional need, and maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community. Courses may include online courses and/or dual-credit/early college classes.
Minimum Qualifications: Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) and one (1) year of experience OR Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) and three (3) years of experience. A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics is acceptable to instruct Healthcare Statistics course HITT 1355.
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Demonstrate skill, knowledge, and abilities in the teaching discipline.

Job Duties
- Make continuous efforts to advance the quality of instruction.
- Develop and use a variety of teaching methods and materials to assist students who have differing educational and experiential backgrounds in meeting the course outcomes.
- Maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community.
