About the role
This position involves teaching "GIS in Sustainability" as part of Viterbo University’s pool of qualified instructors. Assignments can be in-person, online, or blended and may include day, evening, and weekend courses.
Responsibilities
- Teach "GIS in Sustainability"
- Introduce students to the background and methodologies of data collection in GIS and its applications in sustainability.
- Read and analyze articles related to GIS in sustainability.
- Focus on research trends using GIS technology.
Requirements
- Sophomore, junior, or senior standing.
- Master's or higher degree in a relevant field (or related field with recent professional experience and expertise).
Qualifications
- Minimum academic qualifications: Master's or higher in the discipline or subfield of GIS and sustainability.
- Minimum professional experience: Recent professional experience and expertise in GIS and sustainability, or a related field with 18 credits directly in the subfield.
Skills
- Proficiency in GIS software.
- Ability to teach in various formats (in-person, online, blended).
