Adjunct Faculty - Workforce Development
Mountain Gateway Community College (MGCC) is a two-year public institution of higher education and one of 23 community colleges in Virginia. The college serves the counties of Alleghany, Bath, Botetourt (northern portion), and Rockbridge; the cities of Buena Vista, Covington, and Lexington; and the town of Clifton Forge. About the role
Mountain Gateway Community College Workforce Solutions is accepting applications for part-time adjunct faculty to teach workforce courses in the following programs:
- Business & Professional Development
- Computers & Technology
- Healthcare & Wellness
- Hospitality & Service
- Professional Trades & Industry
Positions are appointed on an as-needed basis for day, evening, or weekend courses. Applications will be considered for Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
Responsibilities
- Teach workforce development courses during day, evening, or weekend schedules as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting during emergency declarations by the Governor.
Requirements
- Employment experience in the relevant occupation and industry.
- Maintain active and current license, certifications, and professional development.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven technological proficiency, including Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse student body, faculty, and staff.
Pay
$25.00 an hour (depending upon education and experience).
